Job Title: Energy Efficiency & Optimization Specialist (ESCO)

Job Purpose

Enable the company to become a preferred contractor/ESCO in the energy efficiency and optimization business domain. Responsible for driving sales and profitability growth across various business sectors and geographical locations within the UAE.

Job Responsibilities

• Vision & Strategy: Provide the organizational strategy and focus for implementing the Energy Program to advance energy management efforts across the portfolio, including energy conservation programs.
• Leadership: Lead portfolio-wide energy management plans and integrate processes into facilities and project management operations.
• Expertise: Serve as the internal leader and go-to expert for energy management, monitoring emerging trends, programs, and issues while educating others on relevant topics.
• Energy Optimization: Evaluate energy options, present recommendations, and implement programs to reduce energy and utility usage and associated costs.
• Incentive Programs: Stay updated on energy and utility incentive programs, analyze projects concerning total life costs, and prepare proposals for client presentations.
• Benchmarking: Facilitate a portfolio-wide energy benchmarking program.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution.
  • Desirable certifications include Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

Experience

• Relevant Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in HVAC, Building Controls, or Energy Services Performance Contracting (ESPC) in ESCO.
  • 5-7 years in engineering and energy savings calculations for performance contracting projects, with a solid understanding of Measurement & Verification (M&V) protocols and guidelines (FEMP, IPMVP).
  • 3-4 years leading teams of Energy Engineers.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proven knowledge and expertise in energy efficiency technologies and solutions for ESCO.
• Skills:
  • Strong commercial acumen for conducting cost-benefit analyses and financial modeling.
  • Experience in developing and implementing energy efficiency projects, including feasibility studies, project planning, and execution.
  • Excellent presentation, influencing, communication, and negotiation skills, both in face-to-face and virtual environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business management abilities.
  • Effective task management, collaboration, and organizational skills for both physical and virtual teams.

  • Must possess a valid UAE driving license.
